Monday Meetup: Career Conversations for Middle & High School Students
Monday, May 4, 2026 (4:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Not sure what the future holds, or just curious about what’s possible right here in Citrus County?
Join us for this month’s Monday Meetup: Careers & Community Series, where we’re diving into careers in the Justice System. This engaging, after-school event is designed for middle and high school students (and parents are always welcome!) who want real insight into real careers, without the pressure of a classroom setting.
This month’s conversation features a dynamic panel of local professionals who represent different sides of the justice system:
- Judge Amber Thomas
- Frank Roberts, Chief of Staff, Citrus County Clerk of the Courts
- Joshua Houston, Attorney, Houston Legal Services
Together, they’ll share how they got where they are, what their day-to-day work really looks like, and the many pathways students can take to pursue careers in law, courts, and public service—right here in our community.
The format is relaxed and interactive, with guided conversation followed by open Q&A. Students will have the chance to ask questions, hear honest advice, and start connecting the dots between their interests and future opportunities.
📅 Date: Monday, May 4th
🕓 Time: 4:00 – 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Twistid Arts Initiative Black Box Studio
