The SFPE Fellow designation is awarded to only a handful of individuals each year—just 7 new Fellows were named globally in 2025, including William Cosey himself.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee in Chemical Engineering and one of only a few professionals worldwide to hold the combined credentials of FSFPE, PE, CFPS, Q Clearance, and over 36 years of federal and fire protection engineering experience. William has played an influential role in shaping the national standards and fire codes that govern the industry, serving on numerous technical committees and advisory boards. His leadership as a Technical Engineering Manager at high-security laboratory and nuclear sites has cultivated unmatched precision in navigating complex regulatory environments and delivering safety-first solutions in high-stakes settings. Donna Cosey serves as Chief Operating Officer for Cosey Engineering & Consulting LLC. She brings deep expertise in financial operations, brand development, and procurement strategy. Holding a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA with a concentration in Digital Marketing, along with experience as a high school educator in entrepreneurship and personal finance, college professor teaching business, credentials in bookkeeping, and creative administration, she drives the firm’s operational excellence as well as public sector growth. Donna manages financial reporting, reconciliation, pricing strategy, oversees marketing, branded outreach, and many client communications. Donna leads procurement registrations, capability statement development, and compliance tracking. Her interdisciplinary leadership positions the firm as a responsive, credentialed provider of fire protection engineering services—serving county agencies, federal clients, and secure facilities with clarity, precision, and community-minded professionalism. Business services are personally led by Donna Cosey.
