About
ROCCS – Rowing Organization of Citrus County Students is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-led non-profit based in Inverness, FL. Serving students in 6th–12th grade and adults through its masters program, ROCCS offers inclusive, affordable, year-round rowing focused on teamwork, fitness, and opportunity—many youth rowers have gone on to earn collegiate scholarships.
No experience needed + Volunteer-run nonprofit + Leadership/character development.
Athletes train on Lake Henderson, launching from Wallace Brooks Park, and benefit from a dedicated gym across from Liberty Park and the Depot, as well as a boathouse with a private dock at Wallace Brooks Park.
Each year, ROCCS proudly hosts two major regattas that draw teams and spectators from across Florida to Downtown Inverness at Wallace Brooks Park:
- Head of the Henderson (fall)
- Citrus Sprints (spring)
Each October, we host our annual Casino Night fundraiser at the Depot, featuring professionally operated casino games, food, drinks, live music, raffles, silent auctions, and a 50/50 drawing. This signature event is a community favorite, and we are always welcoming local sponsors to join in supporting ROCCS.
